Default Pick up running boards

I'm thinking about having my running boards powdercoated on my '31 C/Cab Pick-up, anybody else have them done ?
Good idea ? Bad Idea ? Just thinking it may be more durable than painting
If so, what did it cost?
Thanks,
Scott

Not sure how particular you are with the powder color matching the front and rear fenders. I never realized that there are many "shades" of black. I just assumed that black was all the same until I painted the radiator splash apron on my pickup.......and it was quite a different "black" than the fenders.

As far as cost goes I would guess $50.00 each should do it.

My 29 was hit a couple yrs back and had damage to the rear fender and running board. His insurance company, baught a new rear fender (It was the worst one on the truck anyway) and running boards as they are only sold in sets. I had them Powder Coated and they still look like new. The Insurance Co. paid for that also. Still no Rust underneath, LOVE it. Iceman

Have the Powder Coater use "Bumper Black" it is a deep black and should match ; very simular to 9000 Black Enamel.
