Pick up running boards
I'm thinking about having my running boards powdercoated on my '31 C/Cab Pick-up, anybody else have them done ?
Good idea ? Bad Idea ? Just thinking it may be more durable than painting If so, what did it cost? Thanks, Scott |

Re: Pick up running boards
Not sure how particular you are with the powder color matching the front and rear fenders. I never realized that there are many "shades" of black. I just assumed that black was all the same until I painted the radiator splash apron on my pickup.......and it was quite a different "black" than the fenders.
As far as cost goes I would guess $50.00 each should do it. Tom |

Re: Pick up running boards
My 29 was hit a couple yrs back and had damage to the rear fender and running board. His insurance company, baught a new rear fender (It was the worst one on the truck anyway) and running boards as they are only sold in sets. I had them Powder Coated and they still look like new. The Insurance Co. paid for that also. Still no Rust underneath, LOVE it. Iceman
