I too am going to be building solid wood floorboards for a 1928. Neither Steve Waltrous' site, or the article in "How to Restore Your Model A" volume 6 shows all the dimensions for the early floorboard design. I could not find any by doing a search of Ford Barn either. Do Ford drawings exist for the early floorboards?

Elcastor,
What do you need concerning the early floorboards? They are very similar to the planked later 28 floorboards except for the emergency brake cutout. I believe I have an early set of 1928 floorboards without any cutouts for the emergency brake. They are not usable, but good for a pattern. If you need a dimension or two, let me know.

Mine is an Oct 28 with emergency brake in front of the gear shift. It takes both the web site and the Ford later drawings to come up with plans for the 28 floorboards with still a little guess work. I was just looking for Ford's original drawings.

I believe A&L Parts Specialties sell a copy of the print for a dollar. They have different years available. I don't know much about them and if they are copies of the Ford prints. You might give Al a call at 860 693 0112. I made a set of planked floorboards for my Nov 28 special coupe. I know what you mean about a few dimensions missing. Luckily I had an original set of floorboards to take the missing measurements. If you are real picky, the long joints between the planks are a special style and hard to recreate, kind of a narrow, thin dovetail.

Thanks Rusty. I will give A&L a call tomorrow and ask what they have.
