Odd brake drum
I ran my new (to me) '30 Briggs Town Sedan this summer and had a ball. Has steering issues and i thought the brakes were soft. So I started taking it apart. I took off the left front wheel and two lug nuts were loose. Looking at the back side the lugs were tack-welded in and not swaged. Talking with Randy Gross he said to see if the hub came off and he would get me cast iron drums and see if he could save the hubs. I took the right wheel off and the drum just fell off. Randy asked how this could happen? When I put the drums together on the floor it was obvious. Where do you think this drum came from? Fortunately, Randy was able to salvage the hubs. Can't wait to get to the back drums!

Re: Odd brake drum
the one on the top is 1929-1931. The one on the bottom is 1928. FYI- the 1928 is thinner and designed for 1928 wheels, and used a different grease baffel behind it.
