Default manifold gasket

I'm replacing copper manifold gasket, it appears slightly different side to side due to the way it's made. Does it matter which side goes against the block? Thanks in advance.

If not marked and fits either way round then either way is OK! If it has a crimped face ( like some head gaskets) then it mike be wise to have the crimp facing the manifold - if it indents the manifold it's easier to machine that flat than the engine, ( but that's small print stuff.)

"EITHER WAY ROUND, OLD CHAP" Was a common saying by my old Jaguar Service Rep.
Greg asked, "Which way"? when he put in my copper gaskets. "Put 1 in one way & one in the other way & we'll see which one "blows" out first" Bill W.
