Default 12 volt Generator Cut out?

Hello guys,

Quick question: I'd like to convert my generator to 12 volts, positive ground. Do you need to replace the cut out with a 12 volt cut out, or will the existing one still work? I know adding an alternator is recommended for most conversions, however, I'd really like to keep the generator for now.

If the cut out does need to be swapped out, do you have one you recommend?

Thanks!
