!936 Ford Spare Tire Cover
The small clips that hold the chrome ring to the spare tire cover are useless or gone. It looks like there is a total of 9 slots to fill. Does anyone have a source for these ?....same for the clips that hold the chrome strip to the running boards ?
Thanks in advance. D.B. |

Re: !936 Ford Spare Tire Cover
I took an old aluminum license plate and cut strips about 1/4 wide and 1" long. Bend one end into a T shape just big enough to slide into the molding. Cheap and easy. Any piece of aluminum around 20 guage should work. On the back side you can twist them or just bend them over.
Nobody makes the clips that fit. |

dbrock ....................
The '33-'34 stainless rings are held on by nuts and bolts. What you can do, is grind down the heads of some bolts or screws, to where they will slide into the ring, and secure them with nuts. Leave the heads wide enough, so they will not spin, inside the ring. Perhaps, the '33-'34 bolts are available. ???? MIKE |
