Default Choke

a few weeks ago, there was a thread on the choke rod assembly. I understand to order of the grommets, washers, spring, etc. The one thing I am still not certain about is the choke rod sleeve. There is a flared end and a straight end on this sleeve. Does the flared end go toward the spring, or toward the carburetor?

I have the flared end against the spring and it works with no problems.

Thank you for your responses. I have the flared end toward the spring, but I wanted to make certain that was correct.
