All tap waters are not created equal. Most the city water where I live comes from wells and springs and has been in the ground for centuries soaking up calcium. But other places get their water from sources not so rich in calcium so wouldn't have those worries.

The guy in the Viagra commercial stops and buys a small bottled water out of a vending machine and puts it in his Camaro when it overheats. He only uses one bottle and makes it safely to his garage

Where are the guys that believe ,as I do , that totally demineralized water

There was a very good discussion on this topic on The Hamb. One responder claimed that distilled water made corrosion appear faster and was more aggressive than tap water. I recall the words Oxygen and Scavenging being used to describe how the distilled water reacted with Cast Iron.

Can anyone elaborate or explain?

One of the mfg's theory is the distilled water is not ph balanced and it will pull elements (or whatever) from the engine to try and balance the ph.

Well as B-O-B said, we can use horse pee as far as he is concerned. For us in the north we use 2 1/2 gallons of antifreeze and 2 1/2 gallons of horse pee. Not much of anything in 2 1/2 gallons of tap water or horse pee to clog our radiators. Does Walmart sell horse pee?

Now there's a new consumer line, Horse Pee from China, coming to a store near you. Buy one gallon, get one gallon free.

Oh wait, I just remembered, horse pee is where Steroids come from, better put some in the gas tank as well.
