Ray
Sorry, two other people already asked for it. Was mailed out yesterday to the first one to ask.

That "EA Ultra Deluxe" name plate is original to the heater. (attached with two tabs into two slots stamped in the case) No other markings on the heater to tell who made or sold it back in the day. Maybe these were made as a cheaper knock-off of the Ford authorized unit? And maybe even some Ford dealers installed these when the Ford Motor Company rep. wasn't looking?

Ah.....too slow on the draw!

If I don't find one in a week or so, it will be Vintage Air.

Thanks.

E. A Laboratories, Inc made aftermarket auto accessories. They also made at least one OEM part as they were one of the suppliers of Model A Ford horns. The heater in question is similar to 30s - 40s Ford so it could have been aftermarket or Ford-authorized.

Here's a link to their 1936 suit (and loss) against Tropic-Aire for patent infringement. It gives some details about heaters of the period.

Hi there, my dad and I deal in hot air heaters that were original equipment installed either at the factory or by the dealer. The '42 models were carried over to '46, the last year hot air was offered. Private Message me if you are interested and I can see what our stock looks like - I can't say for sure if we have an entire system or not.
