41 stock lower radiator hoses V8
Just curious has anyone had any problems with some of the “ford script” lower radiator hoses. This is not a problem I can’t resolve without better clamps and some Indian head sealant but doesn’t be seem like I should have to. The hose in my opinion are not curved properly and the connection on the pump side wants to work it’s way off.
Again I will deal with this just wondering if many people have run across the same issue. Bob |

On my '48 I noticed that those hoses can be reversed, but then do not fit right. Newc

If the hose connection "snouts" on the water pumps have been painted they will be slippery and the hoses will have a tendency to slip off. Had that problem on my 41 sedan.

The type of clamp used makes a big difference in providing uniform clamping pressure. Take a look here: https://www.google.com/search?q=what...hrome&ie=UTF-8 Last edited by 19Fordy; 03-15-2022 at 03:29 PM. |
