Default axles

can i swap the axles in my 6 cyl ranchero{1964} to v 8 without changing the carrier and internials

Is the rear a standard 8 inch with removable carrier? If so, you should be able to.

If its a lighter rear, probably not, but don't know for sure.

Frank, im not trying to be a smart ass, but some of that stuff you need to check out your self, put both axles next to each othere, measure length, count axle splines, measure bearing width and depth, count wheel studs, it will only take you 5 minutes, then you will know for sure, these guys are good, but some questions can not be answered with 100% acuracy
