Default Caution, Drilling guide for wiper holes in W/S frame

Bought a new windshield frame without pre-drilled holes for the wiper. There were paper guides in the box for locating where to drill the holes. However the guides don't seem to be correct. When checking against an original frame the guides are about 3/16 off. (See photo) Also checked with the cutout for the wiper on/off link in the insideheader molding and it agrees with the W/S frame.

So, be advised, if you buy a new frame, do not drill until you have checked the positions withthose of an original frame,And with the inside garnish molding so that you are absolutely sure.

Every car I have owned except for one, has had a swiss cheese area for the wiper. I always seem to end up welding them all shut and starting over.

Its a good thing you checked first... maybe the guide paper just needs a little trimming on the end so they line up correctly?
