1933 Inner Fenders
Hi Guys,
Continuing to disassemble my 33 and hope you don't mind my continued questions. Attached are a few pics of 2 33 inner fenders that I have. Does anyone know why the differences or if one is early other later? Any input would be most appreciated. Cheers |

Re: 1933 Inner Fenders
I don't know for sure, but I too guess it is early and late. When Henry changed the fender brace steady rods from attaching to the top of the spring tie/crank guide, to attaching to the crossmember. That would have made a difference in the hole location.
Or it could have been from when they changed the stead rods from a forged rod to a stamped strap. |

Re: 1933 Inner Fenders
Neither is the earliest version. The lower one is a mid-model-year one and the upper likely the last of the '33 versions.

Re: 1933 Inner Fenders
Note the additional arch cut out for the shock mounting clearance on the upper panel. This was not necessary until 34.

130 driver.. Do you have an extra matching set? I have been looking for a pair. I will most likely run front stock shocks, so I suppose I would need that shock cutout?

Re: 1933 Inner Fenders
My '33 with an April SN is like the bottom one with the verticle hole for fender brace round steady rod that connects to the crossmember.

Re: 1933 Inner Fenders
I have a 33 three window body that had a 34 grafted cowl onto it. I just purchased a 34 grill and will be needing to find a 34 hood.
So, I suppose I'm looking for a pair like the top, with the horizontal hole and the shock cut out. Quote:

Re: 1933 Inner Fenders
Looks like a 34 body with 33 doors to me. Oh, I see you have a 34 front half of the body.
