Default 1941 running boards

I see the running board is attached to frame on one side and to the fenders. I didn't take these off so I don't know how they are attached to the brackets?

I see running board to frame grommet kit for 42-48. Will it work for 41?

What is the best adhesive for gluing the new covers on? Surely contact cement is not the best.

Back after powedercoating

I couldn't find R/B grommets for my '41 so I made mine from castable urethane (had originals for a sample). Was about 20 yrs ago but seems that all others were different. Bolts go up thru the large holes seen by the rocker box and into caged nuts inside the boxes. also a bolt thru back edge into rear fender and one thru front fender into the "rolled" edge that extends over the front fender. Covers come with glue and it is contact cement. Mine were from C.W Moss and fit very well and in 20 yrs have has no separation issues.

I used rubber body to frame bushings, forgot the exact size but got them from Denis Carpenter. He will sell the size you need so you don't buy the whole body/frame kit.
