Lower Control Arms
Since I'm going to do a front end suspension rebuilt when I do the disc brake conversion I would like to have the as many prep'd and painted parts in hand and ready to attach. I have a spare pair of upper control arms now but not the lowers.
What I need to know is what years and or models share the same lowers as my 55 Customline? Thank you in advance Last edited by L5wolvesf; 10-26-2018 at 12:55 PM. |

Re: Lower Control Arms
Pretty sure '54 thru '56 Ford or Mercury will work.

Re: Lower Control Arms
1954 to 1956 use the same design lower control arm(s), although the replacement PN for all three model years is 1956.

Re: Lower Control Arms
The 55-57 Tbirds may be the same as they shared the same front end.

Does this mean you can get replacements from Ford? |

Re: Lower Control Arms
No. That indicates the arms were changed (various engineering upgrades) during production, the '56 changes being final issue. Any will work. Just be sure to match the pair.
