Default Magnesium Zinc Bars Anodes

I want to leave my A cosmetically as is - used looking, a little rust poking through in places.

I know they are used in water heaters and on ships, and on As in the coolant with aluminum heads. But this is slightly different by not being submerged in water, would be attached to the Frame

Searched a little here on the Barn, did not find much.

Would like results experienced with what was used, and also opinions.

Thanks

Should have looked further on the internet before posting the above. The answer is resounding no. Here are a couple of the many links explaining why.

Engines operating in the ocean ( salt water ) use zinc anodes in their cooling systems. The zinc will corrode/be sacrificed before the metal of the engine. Also, zinc anodes are used on propeller shafts and rudders min the same circumstances. I don't think you have a great need on a model A engine even with an aluminum head.

Zinc anodes are also used in domestic hot water tanks.

Thanks,

My intended use was for slowing/stopping rust on the body. A friend was telling me to use the bars. Now I know better and can prove it to my friend.
