Default Late intake on early V8?

Will this type of 49-53 intake manifold work on a pre-49? Presuming that I would maybe need to block off the 8BA oil fill hole? Or could I use it on my 59AB?

Thanks!

A 49-53 intake will work fine on a 59 series engine. I have a 4bbl one on my 40 coupe that has a 59 series engine. There may be some bolt holes unused and as you stated, could use the breather hole for something else like a PCV valve.
