Does your engine have a timing pointer and reference "dot" on the crank pulley?

The "dot" or "pip" on the crank pulley is at 3 deg Before TDC on trucks, NOT at TDC. Follow procedure below from the manual.

The stock distributor does not work well with dual carbs. It must have the 8BA carb to get the proper advance during various load conditions.
