I agree that it's normal.
Do you have the good gas in Japan, or do you have to burn the corn crap?

No corn, it would have to be imported, 86 octane on base 86-92 off base.

It is good, but the car could be doing in the low twenties.

A lot of variables involved, but well set up engines seem to be in the low twenties area.

I have to figure there are not many A's running around over there.

Spent some time in Japan in the early '70's, (flew some missions out of Yokota) never seen a single model A, let alone any older classics.

I used to track it with my '28 Roadster (the tripometer made it easy). '28's gone and now the '31 doesn't have a tripometer??? So now I don't bother. Why would Henry do that?? $$$$?

Having spent some time in the Far East, I was wondering how you ever found a Model A in Japan? Or did you take it with you?

Thumbs up Re: MPG Good?

I was a little surprised at the 21.8 mpg I got covering the 4500 mile trip to the MAFCA convention. I had a new engine and ran a Marvel carburetor which I basically had turned all the way off on most highway driving conditions.
