Re: Adjusting alignment
I use a spring loaded toe-in gauge to adjust the Model A front ends. Works excellent!

Re: Adjusting alignment
I have seen the link above, but it is not clear on lining up the steering wheel, do I turn the left or right tie rod end or both of them. My car is toed out right now so I know I need to lengthen it but 1 turn on the rod end gets me what length? any help on this please.
thank you |

Re: Adjusting alignment
You don turn the rod end you turn the bar, the rod ends ate left hand thread one end and right hand thread the other. So twist the rod one way and the whole tie rod gets longer, twist the other and Git gets shorter.

Re: Adjusting alignment
If you worried about a centered wheel, then playing with individual tie rod ends or one of the adjustable drag links may be required.
But the only real adjustment is for toe. Camber requires bending. Caster can be changed slightly at the radius ball but it shouldn't need any changing. Last edited by Patrick L.; 04-22-2015 at 01:14 PM. |
