Default 47 Flathead gas in oil

Getting very significant gas in the oil of my 47 flathead. Looking for way to diagnose the issue. I have electric fuel pump for assist on starting. Heard that perhaps bad diaphragm in stock pump may be the issue. Or perhaps the carb? Any ideas how to isolate the issue ??

When is the last time you changed the carb or pump? If it has been a long time or maybe you have never done it, I would do both. My first suspicion is the power valve in the carb.

I have just put on a another carb. I was hoping to verify what caused it instead of only checking oil level frequently.

If you’re bypassing the original fuel pump there’s only one other piece , the carburetor. I would suspect a powervalve or heavy float ( incorrect float level )
I would change the oil asap !
