Default Help 50 flrd clutch

In dire need of a Clutch Equalizer Bar for my 50 Ford Sedan Flathead V8 with 3-on-the-tree.

OR if someone has a 49 or 50 ford with 3-speed column shift please check under the hood and get me the measurements (in inches) of this part so I can have one made. "It's the U-shaped item on the clutch assembly."

I've exhausted all my know sources and can't find this part. Meanwhile my 50 ford with new rebuilt, engine and all new parts attached, plus new radiator, etc, is sitting in the shops holding yard for several months now, can't drive it until I get this part.

This ole SF Flathead lover would be much appreciative for your help.

There's some on ebay.
They are forged so you could buy one and cut and weld to make it work.
Check here too.

Also, you could try "Shoebox Central" (Shoebox-central.com).

"19Fordy", are we talking about the same part? The one on my '51 is basically a bent-up piece of bar stock.

I read your profile; THANK YOU for your service in our armed forces.

I wish I could help you with the equalizer, I just don't have access to one.

Yes one shown on Shoebox Central is what I need but they advertise they have them but they don't. Can't find one anywhere. Will have to make one but don't have the measurements so will be hit and miss.

Yes just a U-shaped piece of bar stock with some holes in it. It swivels and pulls the Rod that engages the clutch.
The picture sent below is the correct piece I need but Shoebox Central don't actually have them.

DaMoonDogie,
If you have to make that piece you will have to heat treat the part or it will twist like a pretzel.

You might want to try to PM "Tony Martino" on this board. He has come through for me several times when I have been looking for "loseable" parts like this. Also, member "Barnfind08" (Southside Obsolete) has a lot of miscellaneous items.

If you do decide to make one, I'm sure someone on here can take a close-up of one they have and provide you with the key dimensions. I'd do it, but I'm on my way from Florida back to Minnesota and won't be back there until next week.
