I agree with everyone else. They are very annoying! They would be much easier to put up with if, they didn't "flash" like they do.

Hi Everyone. Quite a while ago I added the free AddBlock Plus https://adblockplus.org/ to my browser of choice, Edge and get no pop-up adverts on this site.

That sounds good. I did, however, just now read the terms of use, which does not warranty it's security. I'm already paranoid about security breaches, so I'll hold off on installing it for a bit. Thanks for posting, Jeff!

Update: Now it seems to be resolving itself. Only pops up momentarily on the first Ford Barn window I open. I do also stay logged in, o so maybe that's a factor as well.

The ones I have used in the past create issues. A lot of sites will block you unless you remove the Ad blocker, LOL.

My experience here is that if you stay logged in, no ads appear (ever) in the forum and swap meet sections without any additional ad blocker. If you start on the home page there will be ads on that page.

David, this is something new that just started today, not sure why it is on some peoples page and not others. It is the bar at the bottom on the screen.

Meet Jeff. He's apparently the jovial sticky footer specialist who's bringing you all the Pop-up Ads today at the foot of your screen. And he's making sure they stick good! 8^) Jack E/NJ

They are a bit bothersome, so I delete them before reading the posts. A pain, but it works.

Well.........no expert here, but over on the right hand side of the ad is a X in a circle.
I clicked on that--- ads gone and they have not returned.

They will probably return when I disconnect and come back --- but they are still gone as I continue to type this.

Update: They did return after I hit submit for this discussion, but click the X and they are gone again.

Still not at the bottom of my pages, but when it does, I'll do as Bruce does. After all, it does take money to maintain this website.

It's not as annoying as all of the pop up adds everywhere else on the internet.
