Default Installing rear bumper brackets

Can the rear bumper brackets be installed with the body on the frame? I will be mating the body and chassis together soon and can't remember if there's enough clearance to install bracket bolts to fasten it down with the body on. Thanks

I would think it depends on the body but I really do not think you can...not without some forcing as the BOLT was installed from the top down and it is real hard to get that bolt up into that cavity although it probably has been done. Got to have some really small fingers to do so I think.

I would think that FORD may have made a small provision to do so however.

It is on my pickup. Never thought to consider that a sedan or coupe body would make a difference, but it probably does.

I think it does but will have to wait to hear from others. I have viewed the area on my 29 Tudor and 29 Coupe and just could not see how it could be done without some very small fingers to position the long bolt into the hole from above. I belive it is about an inch or so long.

I'm working on a Tudor. I suppose I could leave the body mounting bolts loose so I could raise the rear a bit if I need to.

I had to raise the body a bit to install mine. It is a tight fit to get the bracket in and even tighter to get the bolts in.
