1938 Deluxe and 1939 Standard Coupe Hoods

All,

I am in the market for a new hood for my 39 Standard coupe. I had a couple of questions about the interchangeability of Deluxe 38 models with the 39 Standards.

Would a 38 Deluxe coupe hood fit on a 39 Standard? If so, would a 38 Deluxe Tudor/Sedan hood also fit?

I haven't had much luck finding a 39 Standard hood and wanted to expand my search to the 38s if they will work.

38 DeLuxe is not directly interchangeable with 39 Standard, but will fit with a bit of a massage to the nose. To confirm this, just compare the chrome nosepiece of one to the other.

I had a 1939 Deluxe Coupe. I found that no 39 Standard parts would fit. The cowl is wider on a deluxe. Also where the hood and fenders meet is entirely different. The 39 Standard is a lot like the 38 Deluxe.. Good luck

I have a 38 Ford deluxe, but I have been unable to find a hood for it, so I am currently running a 39 standard hood on it.....
