How common is glazing on non woven brake shoes?
I recently sent out to have my shoes re-lined and i unexpectedly received the non woven type shoes. When I took the shoes to get arched the guy at the counter told me to expect the drum and shoe to glaze. Has anyone experienced this with this type of shoe ?

Well that makes me feel a little better. The brake guy made it sound like the woven brakes shoes don't glaze and glazing means the shoes and drums are ruined. I don't have much experience with brake shoes and I guess I've never payed attention when I've changed out pads on my newer cars.

A bit of corse sandpaper is a glaze breaker. Don't breath the dust!
