Just a Dust Cover
I've been looking for just a Dust Cover. Nothing against waterproof, rain proof, breathable covers but all I need is to cover Duke in the garage. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Re: Just a Dust Cover
I have had a California Cover for my Roadster for over 30 years. It fit perfectly, I have washed it in my home washing machine probably a dozen times, still in perfect condition. Like you said, not for out in the weather, but for inside I could not be more pleased.

Re: Just a Dust Cover
Old bed sheets would work.

Re: Just a Dust Cover
Cover craft makes a great custom fit dust cover. That way it does not slide off. Wayne

Re: Just a Dust Cover
I agree. My wife made a "fitted" cover for our huckster. Works great. It covers up the top, hood and fenders. Also bed sheets allow it to "breathe" and get rid of any moisture that may be floating around. Needless to say it is a inside cover.
Of course you have to have a wife or other person willing to do this sort of thing. Bed sheets will work great for grease rags. Like mentioned you are recycling!

Re: Just a Dust Cover
I do what Carl G does, use queen or better yet, king sized flannel bed sheets. They work quite well and the flannel doesn't harm the paint or other items. Two king or queen sizes sheets will cover a model A pretty well. I cut the elastic corners of a fitted sheet so it lays a little better. Of course I am talking about inside storage. You can pick them up at second hand/thrift stores for very little. In fact, I bought a set of queen sized sheets with pillow cases which I can use for rags, at the church rummage sale yesterday for $3 for the set. They are a hideous bright orange color, but I don't think my 28 special coupe well mind too much!

Re: Just a Dust Cover
Those commercially available non- woven breathable grey car covers are useless. They let the dust through and when you slide them off, the dust is dragged across the painted surface of the car.
Stay well clear of those. They are about as good as anything else from China.

Re: Just a Dust Cover
California duster works well for me! Just takes a few mins! I have seen cars with covers become storage for junk you don't want on a car.

Re: Just a Dust Cover
I wouldn't cover it with a plastic cover, It will trap moister under it and can cause paint and interior problems.
