Default 32 pickup front crossmember

I have a 32 model b pickup and my front motor mount bolt spacing is too narrow for my crossmember. Is there a difference between the 4 cyl and the v-8 front crossmember? Mine is bolted in and i assume it should be riveted in. Any help would be apreceated. Thanks Marv

Very early '32 four-cylinder motor mount brackets had a 15" spacing of the holes for the insulators. All '32 V-8s and all but very early '32 four-cylinder motor mount brackets had 12" spacing. So, yes, there was a very early front crossmember that was only used with four-cylinder engines with those early 15" motor mount brackets.

All crossmembers were originally riveted in place.

Thanks I had it backwards i guess.I said my mount was too narrow but it is actually too wide.
My mount is 15 in and my crossmember is 12 in . I actually have two mounts that are both the same.So now i at least know there is a mount that will fit.

The 12" motor mount bracket is the commonly-encountered one. The 15" bracket is fairly rare.
