Default Help ID generator 6 or 12 volt

I have a rebuilt generator I acquired in a lot of parts. I'd like to hang on to it and use it if it's 12v, but is there a way to tell what it is? I can't find any markings on it. I was reading about measuring the ohms across the field coil, I got about 15 which makes me think it's 12 volt. Is there anything else I can measure or check on it? Thanks!
