One of my jobs at the dealer ship I worked at, ever month to shake rock and roll every extinguisher there and mark on the card with date.

In 1976, my ex-wife's VW bug caught fire on I-75 in Florida.
Fortunately a passer-by had an extinguisher and put it out with very minor damage. Since then I have always carried an extinguisher in every vehicle but have never needed it.....
