I'd like to know what the factory colors were for the "mercury" and the design above and below the mercury on the 47-8 hub caps. I have a few originals but all seem to be different/altered.

Mercury= gloss black of semi flat black?
Design = cream or off white?

Just to add confusion to this subject, I have a NOS example hanging on my wall, & it is all Black, no Cream. I believe that it came from Canada.
Is this correct for all Late 47-48 Canadian Mercury Hubcaps?
