johnbuckley Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2010 Location: United Kingdom Posts: 1,441	U joint. How much play is acceptable? Whilst the transmission is out I'm checking the U joint. It has done at least 20K miles no problems - greased regularly . All looks good but I estimate it has about 2 thou play- ie just detectable. Is this aceptable ? Should I leave well alone or buy a rebuild kit ?
