I found an old distributor in Pop's stash of spare parts. Its stamped:

Motorcraft
DOZF
12131 A
7

I'd like to know if anybody can verify that this distributor will work in a 390.

The DOZF 12131A fits the 352-390-406-427-428 FE engines should be just what you are wanting....
