Default !948 Coupe

I just got in my 1948 2 door coupe and wanted to know where you could find the Vin # for the car? Also both door glass are cracked and wanted to know where you get the glass from? Thanks Jerry

Jerry, you'll find the VIN# on the driver’s side frame rail between the steering box and the radiator (you may have to scrape off some dirt, etc. deposits to see it). If you want reproduction door glass with the Ford "bug" on it, someone on the Barn should have that information however, if you just want to replace the door glass, any auto glass shop should be able to cut and install it.

Here is where the vin # is on my 46.



On the left frame rail right where the front cross member joins. Could be back a little farther on some. May take some de-greasing and wire brushing to expose it. Your local glass shop can cut you some safety glass. Bring the cracked one for a pattern.
