I love watching your work, you are a real "metal artiste" (or something like that). Watching the details of your work take me back to when I did those kinds of repairs-I guess my metal work got crowded out by silliness like working, raising kids, etc. etc. Might get myself a TIG rig and pick it back up. ANYWAY, keep those photos a comin!

Nice metal work . Ebay had the rear pan [pretty solid] $199.00 last week and did not sell. The tub i sold a solid one at $350.00 ... The kick panel i have plenty of them and i sell them for $15.00... The rear pan repro was $125.00 ..If your customer is Dave , i have spoke to him already.... Keep up the good work and save another 180A. Take allot of detail pictures... Thanks....

great work ! just check the space between the 2 rear fenders and the rear apron across the back for fit.. And keep Dave honest with just the left side fender well.. Don't add the right side....l.o.l.Coming along great.. Also remember to put the zinc door sill on first before the body goes on the frame... Don't know why Briggs did it that way.. It suck with the nails from the bottom up...You do have A+L's telephone for all those parts?? If you don't have the zinc sill order them .Before Al died he was running short.

I'm not sure why, but I'm taking Earle's word for it.

You're an artist Flop.

it was a pleasure to work on such a rare car!!

the fenders dont fit the opening so well so im sure there will be some work involved back there.

Flop , the rear ,,,,,fender to fender too tight??? If your dealing with a repro steel apron ,,they are too long... gotta cut them down some and fix the end again. Also body welting goes between the apron and rear fenders,, I put black tape across the top of the apron to wood ,,not welting ..

I know...have said this many times before...when someone goes to all the time, effort and money to reproduce something...why the heck can't they just go that extra mile and do it right the first time.

I know...that "extra mile" just might cost a few extra bucks to do it right (or more).

This past week I fit reproduction front fenders, aprons, running boards, and rear fenders on a car for someone else. They were a BITCH, and it took right at 20 hours to get them all fitting decent and to drill all the holes for them.

329's .... the repro rear apron that was made is used for the ORIGINAL fender fit... Since i helped a number of 180A owners with their cars i have found out that using repro fenders with the rear repro steel apron does not work well in some cases. The person who made the rear apron did it on his own and had a low number made. [WISH he went in having more made] They were super done since none are around !!!!!!! and original ones got the shit beat out of them for some reason.[thin metal]. He made them thicker...Anyway wanted to clear that up...Its the rear repro fenders with the problem.
