Default '40 Pick-up Radiator Replacement Help

Sponsored Links (Register now to hide all advertisements)
Need some help? Anyone have a photo or diagram of the radiator frame mounting position. I have a '40 pick-up with a coil over front end, small block 350, with an aluminum radiator without the original Ford radiator pan. The frame looks like it has been narrowed right under where the radiator pan should go but maybe that's the original frame but I don't know? I'm trying to replace the aluminum radiator with a Walker 4 core '40 Ford which is wider than the aluminum radiator I removed. The Aluminum had special mounting support brackets added that were bolted to the frame. Did the original Ford radiator pan bolt to the bottom or the top of the frame channel? Did the Ford radiator pan bolt to the top or the bottom of the Lower Grille Pan? My lower Grill pan is not straight or flat on the bottom so I may need to replace it. Before I start fabricating radiator mounting brackets I need to know where they need to go.
Thanks,
