Default Wire guage

Where could I find wire information on original wire guage sizes for rewiring my AA. Like what guage wire from coil to distributor etc.,.?

That would be in the MARC/MAFCA Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards in the Electrical section.

I use color coded wires from Brattons . Brattons has the wiring harnesses already made up from dash to firewall and firewall to engine . These original style color coded wiring harnesses are only a FEW dollars each . I figure that considering the time that it takes and the hardware , I can buy the original style harnesses cheaper than I could make them .

For single low amp circuits with 6-volt carrier, 16 AWG is a common conductor size.

All wires in Model A are 16 AWG (10 Amp capacity) except for the charging circuit - generator through ammeter to battery - which should be 12 AWG (20A).

Just get the wiring harness you need from a vendor. They are the correct gage, color code and reasonably priced. If anyone later tries to trouble shoot the wiring after you are gone, and different color codes are used the person troubleshooting has no idea of what wire goes to what even with a simple wiring diagram as the Model A
