Front brake shaft housing install
I have the front end together but not the brake shaft housing, how does one get it put together? Do I have to pull the perch or the king pins? Thanks Pete

Re: Front brake shaft housing install
You will probably have to loosen the perch so you can turn it a bit.
don't mix up the right and left sides on the kingpins. Remember the ball end on the kingpins goes forward of center. On the cross shaft the pivoting end that pushes the rod faces the rear. |

Re: Front brake shaft housing install
Thanks Tom, I have everything put together right like you said , just need to put the housing shaft in. I did remember that there is a right and left. Pete

Re: Front brake shaft housing install
Remove the K P lock bolt & if the K P is not rusted in the axle, you can turn it a bit to hook up the hsg to perch.I have also ground a bevel on one side of the mounting stud & tapped it in place.

The king pins have just been installed so they should turn, I'll try that first. Thanks columbiA
