Steering kit instructions
I'm rebuilding my 2 tooth gearbox with a kit purchased with nearly everything but the main housing body. I have found this kit has several gaskets and an o-ring that were not on my original box and I don't see them all addressed in my les Andrews book. Are there more detailed instructions somewhere online that show where each of these seals go?
Thanks as always. By the way, I did get that stubborn original worm gear off my steering shaft. My next challenge is dealing with the fact that the key and splines for the replacement gear were no where close to matching the original. |

Contains one end plate gasket, two large gaskets for sector housing to gear box, (there were two diameters used, test fit both gaskets for the correct size to be used). One 'O' ring to be used on sector shaft to seal against frame. Recess sector bushing 3/32" at frame end of sector housing for 'O' ring. One thin steel flat washer is used to keep the 'O' ring in place against the frame. If not using modern end plate (# 5280), then order horn rod gasket for end plate (# 5040).
