PerLux distributor
Is anyone using one of these or have info on them? I was able to ID the one on my car by 'PerLux' embossed on the body and cap but no other details on it. I know that is was the first incarnation of Pertronix and seems to work well for me.

Re: PerLux distributor
You are correct. Originally sold by Per-Lux in the early sixties after buying the company and marketed under the Ignitor brand. They were designed for stationary engines running 24/7, tow motors and industrial applications. Very successful in Baja racers running in the VW classes. Micky Remund developed the A market and sold to F&S. Failures are usually self-induced when skipping over the installation instructions. Before Ford had their own OE electronic ignitions, Per-Lux/Ignitors were installed on all Ryder rental trucks and UPS vans. I'm sure that that's far more info then you were really looking for!

Re: PerLux distributor
It's that kind of detail that helps make this web site interesting.
