Default 46 pickup rear tube shock conversion bracket advice

After a long search, here are the aftermarket brackets I wanted for my 46 Ford pickup. Just wondering if anyone else had these same brackets on their truck and if maybe someone could post a photo of them all mounted up. Im not quiet sure how to mount them.

Let's see if this won't help to get you headed in the right direction. The two brackets bolt to the front side of the crossmember as mounts for the upper shock eyes. Not sure why, but someone has modified the one on the left. If you need more encouragement, just holler back! DD

Another route that to me is easier, get the tube shock brackets off a 48 to 52 F1.

The chassis is basically the same and they changed to tube shocks in 1948

Those bracket you have will interfere with the rear leaf springs on your 46

Those brackets the OP posted a pict of are missing the bolts. I'll try to take a pict. of what they look like.

Picture is of the brackets style that works with the spring U bolts on a parrallel leaf spring chassis. These move the bottom of the shock closer to the center
The pictures of the other style have the shock out at the backing plate and will interfere with parallel leaf springs.

(The ones i have pictured, i think might.be fronts off a 53 to 56 )

The left one is also bent. See how the one hole is oblonged?

I too am planning the same install, I have the brackets pictured from a 51 pickup, but if they don't fit I am thinking the brackets will be a good pattern to make some similar to work with the parallel leaf springs.
