Default Longshot question on the "doodlebug"

This thing has an old semaphore signal and control chain attached-- no reason, probably just "because". Though the metal parts seem era correct, the lens is plastic so it isn't likely all that old--but that lens is broken.

On the slim chance someone recognized it or had an idea of where to look for a replacement lens, I decided I'd toss it out. I can make a reasonable facsimile but don't want to reinvent the wheel if options are available. Being ignorant, maybe these were more common than I imagine.

And because it's quirky I'd like to keep it and get it doing something rather than just whacking it off.

Thanks

Sorry--only photo I have here and I just snipped it to the important part. Should anyone think a closer shot would help, let me know.

Thanks, Bob--not quite the same. I'll get a better photo tonight. It's minor but since this doodlebug is to sort of "teach" history at the ag museum and a lot of kids have never seen a semaphore, I thought it might be nice to find a way to bring it back from the dead
