Anyone have a source for 33 x5 truck tires
I tried coker but they were at $258 a tire. I am wondering if anyone has a more economical source the tires are more expensive than the truck at this point.
thanks in advance for any help or advice |

I ordered my 1929 AA's Denman 600:20's from summitracing.com. They were cheaper than any of the parts houses and Coker, and they only charged $12.95 total for shipping all five. Maybe they have what you need.

Re: Anyone have a source for 33 x5 truck tires
I bought a couple of 600-20`s at a local tire store but they refused to mount them so while they were telling me how dangerous they were, I mounted them and slid them under the edge of my pick-up an aired them up. Took longer to argue than to mount them. Monte

Re: Anyone have a source for 33 x5 truck tires
Anything skinnier than 8.00 / 8.25 x 20 is an "antique" tire, and you're not going to find them at regular tire stores.
I'm surprised to hear that Summit Racing carries tires for Depression-era vehicles, but perhaps I have underestimated them. I've been looking for 7.00 / 7.50 x 20 tires for my '55 Chevy first-series dump truck, and have only been able to source them from folks like Coker, Universal, et al. |

The '28/'29 AA trucks used 30x5 tires on the front and 32x6 tires on the rear. A 30x5 tire translates to 5.00x20 and a 32x6 translates to 6.00x20. The 5.00x20 tire is not made in a tread design which fits with an AA truck (in my opinion). Many AA'ers are using 6.00x20 tires on the front and rear. |
