Default Shine time

The last time out the old X-31 ran through both a rain storm and a bug storm. While cleaning it up today, I was reminded how well a bug removal product worked. It is called Bugs-B-Gone by Sea Foam products.

I'm the kind of guy that bites on every county fair promotion of trick tools or magic elixers. I have a collection of Spark intensifiers and welding rod that I can use to weld beer cans together.

This time I got a bingo! This stuff works so well and so easy that I am surprised it is not more widely promoted.

Try it, you'll like it!

Tell them the Rainmaker sent cha.

Ron

Thanks Ron, I'll look for it. It's nice to have an A that goes fast enough to smash bugs. When I got my first A, it didn't go fast enough to chase bugs. Going to Sharon and Iola this year? I saw the X-31 several years ago at Sharon, and remember when you used to have a trailer of A parts at Iola. I wonder if Ryan saved any of your stories from the old fordbarn. I could use a good dose of Cloatisms about now.

Vince has some of Ron's stories on his website, makes for good reading on a rainy day like today. Rod

Well it was my plan today to put some shine on the car but Mother Nature had other plans.

Yes I know where your coming from. I was at my upstate house in Downsville. N.Y. last week. The temperature one morning was 19* and the lawn was frosted up. There goes all the apples this year. Going up there is like visiting another planet.

Funny you should mention this Ron. Just this morning I was looking at all the gnats that flew through the radiator and fan and are now stuck to the front of my powerhouse. I was thinking I should wax it to make removal of bugs easier in the future. I think most of them came from my drive home in the dark last night. I should cut a piece of fiberglass bug screen to fit in front of my radiator for night drives.

This is something to keep in mind during my anual trip to see Dad in his old coupe. Last year I could have charged the State of Michigan and extermination fee. The bugs were horrible and it took me the better part of a day to clean the car when I arrived.

I've always found that if I had a good coat of wax on my car, the bugs would wash off easier. Mothers products fill the bill for me.

What a neat tradition of taking the car back to your dad.
