Default Turn Signals on BB Dumptruck

I've spent some time looking at threads about turn signals, and haven't found what I'm looking for. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. I want to install signals on the '33 BB. Any thoughts on how to do this at the front end? Cowl lights? On a dump truck?

I guess I need to change my username.

Thanks, David.

I would try smartsignals.com If they ever get caught up on production, they've got a great product.

If you just want something that doesn't take away from the look of the truck, maybe mount some on small brackets on the bumper arms. If you look at truck pictures from the late 30's into 40's many used an accessory 'arrow' lamp mounted to the top of the fenders.

I think that the round type with amber to the front and red to rear mounted on top of the fenders for trucks look normal to me. That puts the lights at about the height that people expect to see them at. You could also make an "L" shaped bracket to mount to the bumper for them, still about where people expect to see them.

The only parts book handy in my office is the '32 edition...for both AA's and BB's it lists an array of clearance lights (red, yellow, white, green, or blue!) and a slightly mysterious "Lamp (warning)" with either red or green lens described as a 3 lamp cluster...maybe a rear turn signal/extra brake light??
No pictures there, but I would bet that this stuff is very generic and about like the fender lights described by redmodelt.
Going to dual taillights and adding cowl lights (on cowl, perhaps, or transplated to front bumper brackets?) would allow a pseudo original look, but probably marginally effective in a world dominated by huge, bright lights at eye level.
(edit...these are actually filed in "Miscellaneous parts", placed at the very end of the big truck parts listing just like the accessory section in the car listing.)
