Cylinder head pictures wanted
I am again working on my Model A Reference Wiki project. This time I am going to work on one thing at a time. The first item is the cylinder head. I have pictures of a stock Model A head. What I would like is some pictures of other Model A heads. The ideal pictures would be of the head off the car, one from the top, one from the bottom and a side view. I would like pictures of an original high compression head, the one with the large raised "B" embossed on the top. Also pictures of a Model B Head, the one with the large raised "C" on the top. I would also be interested in any pictures of after market / reproduction heads.
I prefer pictures of high resolution. The pictures MUST BE YOUR OWN. I do not want any pictures that were copied off the internet unless permission was given by the owner to reprint them. Please include any information you have about the head. The pictures will be posted online so do not send any that you do not want online. I will credit you with your name under the picture. This project is designed to mirror and supplement the Judging Standards / Restoration Guide. If there is enough support for this project we will have a place where we can see pictures and descriptions of original and reproduction parts. The project is "live" and can be can be found at http://www.modelahouse.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page Currently there is not much filled in. To see an example click on the following; Area 2 Electrical Then click on Spark Plugs You can send pictures and information to [email protected] I can not do this alone. But I think with enough help from everyone here this can become a useful project. Bob |

Re: Cylinder head pictures wanted
Robert,
Some of us were trying the same thing BUT going according to the Parts Price Lists...I think it got put on the back burner in the back corner of the field under a rock. What you are doing will benifit a lot of folks AND will be a great addition to the JS, both MARC and MAFCA and the hobby itself! Pluck Last edited by Steve Plucker; 02-08-2014 at 12:29 PM. |

Steve,
Yep I remember that attempt. I hope I will not have to put this one on the back burner. All I need is a little help from my friends. Bob |
