Rare or Not
Hi Everyone,
I have a 1941 Super Deluxe Business Coupe. I did not realilze when I bought the car it may be rare. Someone told me that business coupes were usually Deluxe Coupes. Mine is a Super Deluxe Business Coupe. This car came without the back seat. My car has all the chrome the radio heater and full horn with ring. It wears the badge of the Super Deluxe. This car spent it's whole life in California. I've owned it for about 6 years and it is in a heated garage in Connecticut. This car is showroom new. Even the underside looks new. I had it painted Henry Ford Black . thats the only thing I did. Does anyone know how many 1941 Super Deluxe Busuness Coupes wre made in 41" and is this car even a bit rare? I have my doubts but thought I'd ask the experts. The club lists this car as a ....11A72D. I'm not sure that is even the right code. Any and all help will be very much appreciated. Re: Rare or Not
When I was 17, I had a 41 standard business coupe. I never thought much about it until years later and I had seen several Delux and Super Delux models but never another Standard. Mine had one tail lite, one sunvisor, no arm rests, painted lower grilles and painted moldings. Then one day I got my monthly copy of the AACA newsletter and someone had a write up on the Standards. They were only made in 4 door, 2 door, and business coupe and all models were less than about 3000 for each. Mine ended up in a junk yard after I traded it in.

with NO rear seat, had sales of 33,598, while sales of the rear jump-seat version coupe was only 12,844. Ford did offer a "Special series" economy coupe, that was three pass, but had very little body trim, only one taillight, and only one wiper on drivers winshield. Ford only sold 9,823 The 6 pass coupe, with the full rear seat, and only version to have swing-out rear 1/4 windows, had the most coupe sales of 45,977. .

Re: Rare or Not
My uncle had a Special. It was 6 cylinder, one tail light, no arm rests, or stainless trim around the windshield. Also, 1940 style bumpers.
