46 pickup rear tube shock conversion bracket advice
After a long search, here are the aftermarket brackets I wanted for my 46 Ford pickup. Just wondering if anyone else had these same brackets on their truck and if maybe someone could post a photo of them all mounted up. Im not quiet sure how to mount them.

Re: 46 pickup rear tube shock conversion bracket advice
Another route that to me is easier, get the tube shock brackets off a 48 to 52 F1.
The chassis is basically the same and they changed to tube shocks in 1948 Those bracket you have will interfere with the rear leaf springs on your 46 |

Those brackets the OP posted a pict of are missing the bolts. I'll try to take a pict. of what they look like.

The pictures of the other style have the shock out at the backing plate and will interfere with parallel leaf springs. (The ones i have pictured, i think might.be fronts off a 53 to 56 ) |

Re: 46 pickup rear tube shock conversion bracket advice
I too am planning the same install, I have the brackets pictured from a 51 pickup, but if they don't fit I am thinking the brackets will be a good pattern to make some similar to work with the parallel leaf springs.
