Default Grease fitting caps

Doing brakes on a later model truck, of un-named heritage,
I found the bleeder screw had neat little caps protecting the hole.
Happened to remember wanting to get the same cap for all my
grease fittings; vehicles and machinery. Found 3 frozen this summer.

A search showed 180 caps of M6,M8,M10 which I assume is the (metric)
threaded portion of the fitting. All the fittings I have ever greased
fit the same gun; so I am thinking these caps will work and if the
hole in the retaining tab is too small, just cut it off.

Can anyone confirm my assumption ???

Are you using something else ???

Those are pretty much standard issue on all modern vehicles. Not much more than vacuum fitting caps available in all imaginable sizes at any decent auto parts store.

I just use a rag at grease or show-off time!
