Driving Practice
After living and breathing Flatheads, for 40 year's i sort of lost it this summer, It was not fun anymore.
Last week my grandchild and I got all the paperwork ready so we can do some driving practice. In Sweden you can get your driving licence at 18 years old. But you can start to practice driving at sixteen, after Three and an half hour education. So last week everything was in Place. And we took the 33 Roadster out for a spin. http://youtu.be/YZn1OFk6ji0 Cant wait for the summer so we can drive some more. Now Everything looks/feels brighter :-) And last night we got some snow :-) |

Re: Driving Practice
Thank's
Im almost surpriced I keept it up so long, Anyway Christmas Is coming up and I find myself planning on updating my Roadster with some new wheels and setting up my Edmunds two barrel intake manifold with two NOS Ball&Ball carbs. So all is not lost ;-) The engine is nothing fancy a German G29T, with Elco twin heads, and an open exhaust. We stopped at my son and talked for a while, the I drove back, Cant let the grandkids have all the fun :-) Övningskör=Driving Practice |

Re: Driving Practice
Lars, Excellent that you are getting your grandson to carry on the tradition.
That will keep your " flathead spark" lit. |

Re: Driving Practice
Nice to see another flathead video. I have never heard of the German flathead. That distributor is unique. Also the double spark plug heads.

Re: Driving Practice
Could you be more specific about "losing it"? I want to know so I can watch out for it.

Re: Driving Practice
Regarding loosing it it's hard to explain, this autumn we had a big reorganization at work laying of 20% of the employees and I was under notice during three months, and my father was diagnosed with Cancer. So Flatheads did not seam so important anymore.
I got to keep my job , and my father is still with us, and under treatment and it look promising. And I have worked on my 56 VW convertible, so now I know I'm more of a flathead guy :-) The Speedo is in KM. And hopefully the winter will come and I can chain up again.. Its 700 km south of Örnsköldsvik and Trysunda. |
